T. B. Scott Free Library is pleased to present our Beyond Books: Community ArtShare Program entitled: Treasured Book Boxes, featuring artwork from the St. John School students in 5th and 6th grades. They were given wooden trinket boxes through a generous donation from the artist, Bill Pittman, to the T. B. Scott Library Youth Services to be used for an art related project. The students decorated the boxes to represent their favorite books. They chose scenes and book covers to paint in order to share the stories that mean the most to them. The exhibit runs the month of May only and is located on the 2nd floor of the library in the Carnegie Wing.
